Presentation – My Type

Two stories exemplify my personality.

My mother tells the story of my first words this way: I used to have a language of my own. I would attempt to talk and communicate with others, but become very frustrated when they would not understand me. Finally, I got fed up and ceased to talk at all. I would watch and listen as others would talk and communicate. Then, one day, out of the blue, I walked into the kitchen and said, “Mom? Can I have a glass of milk?”

When I was in 1st grade, I attended an experimental school in Seattle. At the beginning of the day, we would write a statement telling what we planned to do that day. I would spend a great deal of time creating elaborate plans than involved getting others to help me do some project. I would then recruit a group of people for my project, but then get frustrated that they were not doing my project correctly. I would dismiss them all and do it myself.
